Refund policy
The short version: if Acocite is not doing what you expected, email hello@acocite.app and we will sort it out. We would rather refund someone than have them feel stuck.
Within 14 days
If you bought within the last 14 days and have used little or none of the credit, we refund it in full, no reason needed. Ask and it is done.
Your statutory right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. Because credit is usable the moment it is bought, you are asked at checkout to agree that the service begins immediately, and you acknowledge that doing so ends that right once the service has been fully performed.
We do not hide behind that. The 14 day promise above is what we actually apply, and it is more generous than what the waiver leaves you with.
After 14 days
Unused credit can be refunded on request, pro rata, at our discretion. Credit that has been spent has been spent, because the AI work behind it cost real money at the time.
If something went wrong on our side, a failed run, a bug, a charge for something that did not work, we refund the credit for it regardless of when it happened. Tell us what happened and we will look at the usage log rather than ask you to prove it.
Things we do not refund
- Credit consumed by work that ran as intended, even if you did not like the answer.
- Accounts closed by us for abuse, or for using the service to harm someone.
How to ask, and how long it takes
Email hello@acocite.app from the address on the account and say what you would like refunded. We reply within a few working days.
Approved refunds go back through Paddle, the merchant of record who took the payment, to the method you paid with. Their turnaround is usually five to ten working days, and how quickly it lands after that is up to your bank.
Cancelling
There is no lock-in and no cancellation fee. Stop buying credit whenever you like. Credit you have already bought stays usable, and everything you have created stays yours to open, download and send.
Closing an account deletes everything on it straight away, so download what you want to keep first. Settings → Your data has both: a copy of everything as one file, and the button that closes the account.
